 Propylene glycol methyl ether (PGME or 1-methoxy-2-propanol) is an organic solvent with a wide variety of industrial and commercial uses.[3] Similar to other glycol ethers, it is used as a carrier/solvent in printing/writing inks. It also finds use as an industrial and commercial paint stripper.                                                                                                                                                                    PM Solvent (Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether), a medium-boiling glycol ether, is an active solvent for cellulose acetate butyrate, nitrocellulose, epoxy, phenolic, acrylic, and alkyd resins. It is used in a variety of coating, printing ink, and cleaning applications.
